Evaluation of the production’s increase of keratinases enzymes

Keywords: Shaved, enzymes, tioglycolato, keratins, reducers.

ABSTRACT

The shaved-based conventional sodium sulphide and lime gives the maximum values of pollution in the river area, contributing 50-60% to the total pollution in terms of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD ), total dissolved solids (TDS).
From this study it can be concluded that the addition of reducing agents to the culture medium, especially sodium thioglycolate, increases the production of keratinolytic enzymes. In the special case of T. ajelloi sodium thioglycolate was used not only as a reducing agent but as a carbon source whereas in the case of cysteine would also incorporating nitrogen source .
Thus, we can increase the production of keratinases for the potential use at different stages of Leather Technology and the ability to add value to solid waste, in this case the hair waste in
bioconversion processes related to fertilizers.
